 SGT. MARC MUNCY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND RAFFLE

 Prize:  2008 Honda Civic LX

 Cost:  $20.00 for one (1) raffle ticket or
              $50.00 for three (3) raffle tickets
              (Checks can be made out to the Sgt. Marc Muncy Memorial Scholarship fund)

Drawing:  Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the FOP Auxiliary dinner and scholarship award night.

Tickets will be available between now and May 6, 2008.  A maximum of 2000 tickets will be sold.  We must sell a minimum of 1500 tickets or the raffle will become a 50/50 drawing.

****Presence not required to win, but you must be 18 years of age or older to win and the winner will be responsible for all taxes, title, registration and insurance****

Benefits the Sgt. Marc Muncy Memorial Scholarship Fund

Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Sgt. Marc Muncy Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Sgt. Muncy was a Columbus Police Officer and he died in the line of duty on 04/05/1995.  The Muncy Family in conjunction with the Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary established this scholarship in 2005 to recognize the 10th anniversary of his death and as a way to give back to our local law enforcement community.    The fund awards a $4000 scholarship ($1000/year for up to 4 years) to the child or grandchild of a law enforcement officer from any agency within Franklin County.  The auxiliary is a non-profit organization with a tax-exempt ID.  To date we have awarded 3 full scholarships and an additional 4 one-time $250 scholarships.
