MANSFIELD, Ohio – Statewide pro-worker organization We Are Ohio applauded Mansfield City Council for unanimously approving a resolution opposing 'Right to Work’ on Tuesday. We Are Ohio Spokesperson Faith Oltman issued the following statement on behalf of the organization:

"Right to Work is wrong. Wrong for Mansfield. Wrong for all Ohioans. Mansfield City Council knows this, and we applaud them for taking a firm stance against this dangerous, anti-worker policy that lowers wages by $681 per month and causes 49 percent more deaths on the job.

"We hope that this resolution sends a clear message to the state lawmakers who represent Mansfield. If or when the legislature takes up Right to Work is Wrong, there will be no question where their constituents stand. The people of Mansfield say Right to Work is WRONG, and they don't trust it."

We Are Ohio formed in 2011 and led the effort to veto Senate Bill 5 by a 62-38 percent margin later that year. We Are Ohio is a citizen-driven, community-based, bipartisan coalition that advocates for working Ohioans.
