Benefit Fund
Membership in the FOP of Ohio provides a $2,000.00 accidental death policy or a $3,000.00 Line of Duty death policy, in the event an officer pays the ultimate sacrifice. The State Lodge provides this benefit to the member's named benefactor.

Critical Incident Response Service

Fraternalism
The FOP of Ohio, Inc. is the state-level of a national organization formed to assist law enforcement officers of all types in their chosen field of employment. The FOP of Ohio, Inc. holds quarterly board meetings, including an annual conference, for members around the state of Ohio to get together and discuss issues that are relevant to their lives. There are almost 200 local lodges in Ohio. If you are not a member of a local lodge and are an Ohio officer, contact Robert Hawley, our Membership Director, for information on the local lodge in your department or area. Once you are a member of a local lodge, and that local lodge is in good standing with the State Lodge, you will be a member in good standing of the National FOP. The National FOP represents members in over 48 states and several countries.

FOP Member License Plates
FOP Associate Member License Plates
In cooperation with the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), the FOP offers a special FOP member-only license plate and a FOPA member-only license plate. These plates can be ordered at any local BMV Office, but first, you must receive an approved application from the Ohio State Lodge. In order to approve your application, please fill out this form. You will receive your approved application(s) in the mail, which you can complete based on the style of plates desired, and take to any local BMV.

Law Enforcement Memorial Services
The National FOP supports the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial located in our Nation's Capital. Every year, the FOP of Ohio gathers with others to support Ohio's survivors and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. In Ohio, the annual memorial is held at the Ohio Peace Officer's Training Academy in London. The FOP of Ohio forms a Memorial Motorcade each year starting at its offices.

Legislative Representation

Pension Assistance
There are three pension systems in Ohio for law enforcement. The Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund (OP-F), The Public Employee's Retirement System (PERS), and The Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirement System. Professional Labor Representation
The FOP of Ohio created the FOP, Ohio Labor Council to be the labor arm of the organization. The FOP/OLC represents law enforcement officers and related personnel in contract negotiations and enforces those contracts. The FOP/OLC provides administrative and criminal defense. Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run
The Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio are strong supporters of Special Olympics. Each year before the Special Olympics Summer Games, hundreds of law enforcement runners carry the torch from all over Ohio. Steve Young Memorial Scholarship Program
The National Fraternal Order of Police Foundation, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor, has created a new scholarship program for the spouses of fallen law enforcement officers who seek to enter the workforce or enhance their current career situations.
