Columbus, OH -- The Olentangy Local School District has a workshop scheduled for tomorrow entitled, "Discussing Race and Racism with Children" featuring Dr. Hasan Kwame Jeffries.  Dr. Jeffries has a history of social media posts showing poor judgment, including one in which he claims, "...Members of the Fraternal Order of Police are responsible for the killing more [sic] black people than the Klan."

The following statement can be attributed to Ohio Fraternal Order of Police President Gary Wolske:

"I'm very disappointed that Olentangy Local Schools has invited in such a divisive figure as part of their inclusion workshop series.  Dr. Jeffries has a long pattern of hateful social media posts, including one which dares to put the Fraternal Order of Police in the same breath as the Ku Klux Klan.

The Fraternal Order of Police is a proud organization full of law enforcement professionals who risk their lives in order to preserve and protect our communities.  Mr. Jeffries should apologize for his hateful rhetoric and the Olentangy Local School District should rethink the sort of person they recruit to lead efforts at inclusion."
