Through a partnership with the National FOP, the National PhotoAlert service is designed to enhance the Amber Alert system through the dissemination of digital photographs of missing children and persons of interest to law enforcement officials. Photographs are instantly circulated to surrounding law enforcement agencies using proprietary GPS technology. Alerts are sent via voice, text and email to recipients within a predefined radius, creating a geographic zone.
