    Chief Counsel

    Gwen Callender
    Ms. Callemder is Chief Counsel for the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio, Inc. and the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio labor Council, Inc.  As Chief Counselof the Fraternal Order of Police, Ms. Callender oversees the negotiations of collective  bargaining agreements in various municipal, county and township governments in the State of Ohio, covering terms and conditions of employment for law enforcement officers and support personnel.  She litigates grievances and other issues before arbitrations and handles various levels of appeals in the District Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Ohio.  Ms. Callender also provides training to over 8,000 FOP members in the State of Ohio on employee rights, social media and body cameras.  She is former member and President of the Dublin City School Board where she was eleted to two four-year terms.  Ms Callender received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her JD from The Ohio State University Moriz College of Law.
